The news about the state of the economy is anything from encouraging, still it is not all the same.

Even now in the mid of all the uncertainty, businesses are expanding taking on new ventures.

Yes, the economy is shrinking, but it does not imply to every area. What makes the headlines today is not reflecting everything, but rather a certain area. As an example, GM and Crysler are in the news with the possible collaps of the companies as the main news ancor. But what about Ford? Ford can serve as a positive example as it didn’t take any government recovery money.

It’s plain sad and for that very reason it’s important to point out some more positive news.

Instead to relay on the national news agencies and public servant (Congress, Senate, lawmakers, others) it is much better to engage in the local community.

Having an open mind, eyes and ears can enable one to get a differend view. Asking people in the local shops how they feel the economical change and show interest in their business can open surpriseing insides.

The local bookstore had a very good last month, the family restaurant having more sales with the campaign running, and so on.

Besides getting an inside view, new ideas might imerge as well. Ideas that can be used to restart a business on your own. New outsourcing opportunities can come to light as well.
